NEW CARD MAKING VIDEO – Distress Oxide Ink Simple Backgrounds #4

HI paper crafting friends. I have a NEW CARD MAKING VIDEO Distress Oxide Ink Simple Backgrounds #4 to share with you today.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for this week is Anything Goes – Tim Holtz Stamps.  I’m a lover of all things Tim Holtz and have been slowly adding to my small collection of his stamps.  Today I’m creating with the Stampers Anonymous – Flower Garden and it’s also another video in my Distress Oxide Ink Series – Distress Oxide Ink Simple Backgrounds #4, a little lesson on colouring with Copics, and the Masking Technique…ok, lets throw in some Stenciling and splattering too while we’re at it!

Also – if you are just learning how to blend with Distress Oxides – this card is for you, as complete blending is not a requirement – that blotchy background is exactly what we want for this card, haha – yeah!

Tip’s and Tricks for the Distress Oxide Ink Simple Backgrounds #4 Card:

  • Start with masking the flower, so I you can stamp the stem with the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
  • Next color the flower with copic markers and mask it again so you can create the background.
  • New color combo for my Distress Oxide Background:  Mermaid Lagoon, Pine Needles and Mowed Lawn and note I went across the card this time instead of up and down.
  • Finally, add a little stenciling, line drawing, splatter for some additional background noise and interest.
