Hi card-making friends! Today I’m sharing a handmade card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Dainty Floral Vine from the recent Moments In Time Release. This design combines several new products, starting with the ombré die-cut vine layered over a soft mint background, evoking a tropical, Hawaiian vibe. The purple and white flowers scattered across the card are reminiscent of plumeria blossoms, adding a fresh, floral touch. A soft vellum layer frames the white die-cut “hugs” sentiment is crafted using the new More A2 Rectangles and A2 Frames Nested Die Sets, creating a clean and modern frame. To finish, I added a sprinkle of Clear Gems for the perfect touch of sparkle and elegance.

How to Create the Dainty Floral Vine Card.
Start, by ombre ink-blending two 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panels of white cardstock using Distress Oxide Inks:
Inks Used: Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Mermaid Lagoon and Prize Ribbon.
Next, once the ink is dry, use the Simon Says Stamp Dainty Floral Vine Die to cut four intricate vine pieces.
Then, adhere a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Bazzill Soft Mint cardstock #300152 to the front of a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Carefully glue the die cut vines in place over the mint background. After the adhesive sets, flip the card over and trim off any overhang.
Finally, for added texture and interest, place the card in a splatter box and lightly splatter the surface with white paint to complete the background.
Adding the Sentiment:
Start with a piece of Vellum die-cut using the 9th die from the center in the Simon Says Stamp More A2 Rectangles Die Set.
Next, for the frame, use the 3rd die from the center in the A2 Frames die set to cut two pieces from white cardstock. Layer and adhere them together, then glue the frame to the center of the vellum panel.
Then, die-cut the “hugs” sentiment three times from white cardstock. Stack the layers for dimension and attach the sentiment to the center of the frame.
PRO-TIP – use the long strips of foam tape directly behind the white frame to invisibly secure the sentiment panel to the card front.
Finally, add a sprinkling of Clear Gems around the card and create flower centers with White Opal Liquid Pearls.
My inspiration for today’s card comes from Color Cube #208
My color inspiration is from Color Cube Card #208, which also influenced the layout of my vines and flowers. The beautiful teals and blues guided the ombre ink-blending for the background, while a soft purple hue was added to the flower centers for a subtle pop of contrast.
That’s all for today, friends! I hope you enjoyed this handmade card featuring the Simon Says Stamp Dainty Floral Vine and feel inspired to try out this beautiful teal, blue, and purple color combination. It’s a stunning palette that adds elegance and depth to any card design. Happy crafting!
