It’s new release day at Simon Says Stamp, and the Friend Like You collection is now live—check it out [HERE]! Today, I’m excited to share my Simon Says Stamp “Let’s Hang Out Sometime” die-cut card, featuring a few fabulous products from the release. I instantly fell in love with the adorable Little Birdies Die Set, and as a longtime fan of shaped and nested dies, I couldn’t resist playing with the A2 Arches Die Set. These versatile dies made it easy to create a fun, arch-shaped card base—perfect for showcasing my colorful die-cut birds. Scroll down for all the card-making details and supplies!

Products Used for the Simon Says Stamp Let’s Hang Out Sometime Die Cut Card:
- Simon Says Stamp Birdies Die Set
- For the Birds Stamp Set (for the sentiment)
- A 2 Arches – to create the shaped card
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Let’s Hang Out Sometime Die Cut Card:
- Start by using the three largest dies from the Simon Says Stamp A2 Arches Die Set to cut coordinating cardstock in layered colors for the card base and mats. Next, for the card back, cut a second arch using the largest die in navy cardstock, and a white arch using the fourth largest die. then, glue these two pieces together, score a hinge at the top, add a strip of redline tape, and adhere the front panel to form a shaped card base.
- Pro Tip: I chose my color palette using Card #208 from the Color Cube—it’s a great way to get inspired and the small die cut birds are perfect for using up your scrap bin!
- Next, die cut a white panel using the fourth largest A2 Arch. Die cut all the pieces for the birds and the branch using the Simon Says Stamp Little Birdies Die Set, and assemble them.
- Then, adhere the branch to the white panel and trim off any overhang. Next, use foam squares to pop up the birds and attach them to the branch for added dimension.
- Next, place the finished panel in your Misti stamping tool, and stamp the sentiment “Let’s Hang Out Sometime” just below the branch.
- Finally, adhere the decorated panel to your card base for a colorful, cheerful handmade friendship card.
