Simon Says Stamp Orange Blossom Embossed Card

It’s Friday! YEAH!, I’m so happy to see the end of this week, lots of personal drama, nothing serious.  Thankfully, I have card-making to distract me, haha.  I’m playing with more new products from the Moments in Time release, this time, a Simon Says Stamp Orange Blossom Embossed Card.  I gasped when I took this stamp and die set out of the box.  The florals are stunning, and I couldn’t wait to color them.  There are many fabulous sentiments in the set, too, but for today’s card, I used a new little guy called Giggle Hello.  I like the font in this collection, and that it has a shadow die cut too, which helps it stand out in the center of my card.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Orange Blossom Embossing Card

Start with a top-folding white A2-sized card base.

Next, cut a piece of Audrey Blue cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.  Use the third-largest of the A2 Frames dies to cut out a frame.  Cut the same frame from a white piece of cardstock.  With the good sides face down, lay the inside and outside blue pieces on your work surface.  Lay the white frame in place and use Scotch Tape to secure everything back together.  Spritz with water and place it inside the embossing folder, then emboss.

Then, once the paper is dry, attach it to the card base.

PRO-TIP – I use liquid white glue to attach 3d embossed pieces, then place something heavy on top to ensure good adhesion.  Red Line tape also works very well for these highly embossed pieces.

Adding the Art Pieces:

Use Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp the florals on Hammermill white cardstock, then color with Copic Markers.

Copics Used:
Turquoise:  BG10, BG11, B13, Gray:  T0, T1, T3, T5

Next, cut out with the coordinating dies and use foam squares to attach to the top right and bottom left of the card.

Then, die-cut the “Giggle Hello” in teal and white and attach it to the center of the card.

Finally, embellish with Clear Pawsitively Dazzling Gems.
