Hey, card-making friends. I’m excited to share three cards I created using the Rooting For You stamp and die set from the Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper release. This sweet little set is all about encouragement and support – and as an avid gardener, I couldn’t resist it since the images are filled with fun gardening themes. I colored all of the stamped images with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. To keep the focus on the playful designs, I added them to card bases with ink-blended, masked backgrounds for a clean and simple look.

Simon Says Stamp Rooting For You card #1
Start with a top-folding A2-sized, white card base: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″
Next, cut a second panel of white cardstock 4 x 5-1/4″ . Use the Circle Masks and Surf ink to ink blend the circle background, then attach the panel tot he card base with foam tape for added dimension.
Then, use a Misti and the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp all the images onto Hammermill white cardstock. (I used a 1/2 sheet), and color them all with Copic markers. Die-cut the images with the coordinating dies, then use a #10 white gel pen and E47 brown Copic marker to add highlights and details.
Finally, attached the colored images to the card front. Then place the card back into the Misti and stamp the sentiment using the VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink to finish the design.

Simon Says Stamp Rooting For You card #2
The instructions for this card as the same as above, except the A2 Sized Masks were used to create the ink blended background.

Simon Says Stamp Rooting For You card #3
And, card #3 is the same as card #2, just different elements.
These cards are quick and easy to make, and they’re perfect for sending to friends who may be going through a tough time—or simply to say, “Hey, I’m thinking of you.” You can never have too many cards like that.
