Hey card-making friends, welcome back.  Today I’m playing with more new products from the “You Are My Favorite” release, and I have a Simon Says Stamp Spring Duck Trio card to share with you.  I combined three products for today’s card:  The Duck Trio die set S1014, the Sweet Tiny Flowers Die Set S1005, and the EZ Strips Reverse Sister sentiment cards.  And, I’m just tickled with how this card turned out – it just screams SPRING – and I’m impatiently awaiting spring’s arrival, LOL

For my flowers and leaves I was using up a bunch of watercolor paper that I had used Lindy’s magicals on.  If you don’t have any of that, dive into your scrap bin and use up all those little pieces of red, pink, orange, yellow and green.

• Simon Says Stamp – Warm Tones Pawsitively Dazzling Gems (I dug out all the small yellow ones).

 

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Spring Duck Trio:

Start with a top folding A2 sized white card base:  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.

Next, using the Sweet Tiny Flowers die set – die cut a bunch of both, glue them together and then glue them randomly across the card front.

Then, Die cut the ducks in white and yellow.  I added a bit of highlight to the yellow/orange watercolor paper with some copic markers in a darker orange for a little shadow.    Then use foam squares to attach them to the card.

Finally, Cut out a sentiment. Color the edges with a black marker before attaching it to the center of the card under the ducks.

Embellish with yellow dazzling gems.
