Good evening, card-making friends! I’m so excited to be part of the Simon Says Stamp Sugar and Spice Release that just went live tonight – like right now. It’s another fun month of fabulous new products to get your creativity going. I’m starting off the month with the Simon Says Stamp Wintertime Celebration Plate. I love die cut inlays and this winter design has such a Norwegian flair to it, I want a cozy winter sweater with this design on it, LOL.
As I said above, the release is live NOW, followed by two blog hops on Friday and Saturday mornings to share more inspiration with you, stay tuned, I’m in the Saturday hop.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Wintertime Celebration Plate:
Choose Your Colors:
Start by selecting 5 winter-themed cardstock colors and cut each to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ . Also prepare a A2-sized white card base (4-1.4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″).
Die-Cut the Panels:
Die-cut the Wintertime Celebration Plate from each of the five cardstock panels. use a watercolor paint well or small tray to keep the different colored pieces separated and organized.
Prepare the Base:
Then, trim a doubled sided adhesive sheet to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and adhere the dark green panel over top to serve as your background.
Inlay the Design:
Use an embellishment wand or tweezers to carefully pick up the individual die-cut pieces and inlay them into the matching openings on the background. Press firmly so each piece adheres securely into the adhesive sheet.
Add the Sentiment:
Finally, die-cut the JOY sentiment from two coordinating cardstock colors. Layer them and attach to the lower left corner of the card using foam squares to add dimension.

PRO-TIP
The best part of building your card this way is that you’ll have enough left over pieces to create four additional cards – no extra die-cutting required……BONUS.
