If you love clean and simple cardmaking, this simple die-cut lavender card is a beautiful way to let your dies do all the work. Using the Spellbinders Lavender Fields Hexagons die set paired with the Stripe Right background die, this design combines soft color, layered shapes, and delicate floral details for an elegant spring-inspired card. With just a few die cuts and minimal embellishing, you can create a polished, professional-looking card that’s both quick and satisfying to make.
You may remember the Stripe Right Die as an add-on from the Just Add Cake Collection (now sold out), but the good news is it’s still available as a standalone product in the Spellbinders shop. It’s a fantastic addition to your stash, making it easy to create clean, elegant backgrounds with minimal effort.

Products Used for the Simple Die Cut Lavender Card:

How to create the Simple Die Cut Lavender Card | Spellbinders
Create the card base:
Cut a strip of Hammermill white cardstock to 4-1/4″x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″ to create a top-folding A2 card base.
Next, cut a 1/2 panel of the Malibu cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″), and use the Stripe Right Die, to cut the largest strip 5 times. Adhere the stripes evenly across the card front. Flip the card over and trim away any excess from the back.
Pro-TIP:
For clean, even spacing when adding the Stripe Right die cuts, lightly mark guide lines with a pencil or use low-tack tape as a placement guide before gluing. This helps keep your stripes perfectly aligned and gives your card that crisp, professional finish.
Die cut the art pieces:
Using Lavender, Lilac, Mint, and Teal Topaz cardstock, die cut the three hexagon layers and eight lavender sprigs.
Stamp the Hello Spring sentiment from the February 2026 Clear Stamp and Die set onto the white hexagon using black ink, then adhere the hexagon layers together.
Arrange and glue the lavender sprigs to create a bouquet. Tie a double strand of jute twine into a bow and adhere it to the stems.
Optional: Die cut a few extra sprigs to use as decorative elements on the card front, or inside.
Pro-TIP:
Add a slight curve to your lavender sprigs using your fingers or a bone folder before adhering them. This creates a natural movement and dimension, making your bouquet look more realistic.
Assemble the card:
Attach the layered hexagon panel to the center of the card using foam squares for dimension.
Adhere the lavender bouquet to the left side of the sentiment using liquid glue. Finish by adding a few extra sprigs near the bottom of the crd for added interest and balance.
