Hey cardmaking friends! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m kicking off the month with the Spellbinders August 2025 Embossing Folder Clubs, and this month’s theme is all about the ocean and fish—two of my favorites! The embossing folders are absolutely fabulous. First up is the 3D Embossing Folder Underwater Waltz, featuring a charming school of fish swimming along flowing waves. Then there’s the Embossing Folder of the Month, Coral Impressions, which delivers deep coral shaped textures—perfect for showcasing all the adorable little die-cut fish included in this month’s releases.

How to create the Spellbinders August Embossing Folder Clubs – Card #1
Start with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Waterfall cardstock. Lightly spritz both sides with water, then emboss it using the Underwater Waltz Embossing Folder.
Next, attach the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base (4-1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded at 5-1/2″). Lay the card flat on your work surface and gently rub a white pigment ink pad over the embossed areas to highlight the design.
Using coral-colored wax, create a wax seal with this month’s arched Mermaid Tails design—I absolutely love the unique shape of this one!
Then, die cut seaweed from Rainforest cardstock using the Large Die of the Month Club – Splash Tales set. Die cut the sentiment from a scrap of white cardstock.
Finally, use foam squares to attach all the elements to the card front, and embellish with Gold Mix Color Essentials Gems for a touch of sparkle.

How to create the Spellbinders August 2025 Embossing Folder Clubs – Card #2
Start with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of cardstock and blend Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, and Mermaid Lagoon across the surface. Heat set the ink to dry completely, then place the panel inside the Coral Impressions Embossing Folder and run it through your die-cutting machine.
Next, adhere the embossed panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. Gently drag a white pigment ink pad over the surface to highlight the raised design and bring out the beautiful coral texture.
Die cut the goldfish from white cardstock using the Large Die of the Month Club – Splash Tails set. Ink blend the fish with Mustard Seed and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Inks for a vibrant finish.
Finally, die cut the seaweed and sentiment. Use foam squares to attach all the elements along the left side of the card, adding depth and visual interest.
Embellish with some white pearls colored teal with a copic marker.
