I decided to make two cards with different finishes – just to mix things up a little!  Let’s start with this adorable Unicorn design.

Step-by-Step instructions on how to create the Spellbinders Cozy Toes Friends Slipper Cards – Unicorn:

1 – Choose your pattern paper for your PJs

Start by selecting a fun patterned paper for your PJs – this will help you decide on the color palette for your unicorn.  Once you’ve chosen your paper, cut all the pieces needed to create the two legs.

2 – Cut Out the Unicorn Pieces

Die-cut the unicorn pieces and glue them together in layers.  I lightly blended a touch of Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink around the top of the nose, then popped it up with foam squares for a bit of extra dimension.

3 – Assemble the PJs

Then, layer and adhere all the pieces together to form your PJ’s then glue on your cozy slipper character.

4 – Create the Card Base:

Start with a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Then cut a panel of Waterfall cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 5″ and emboss it with the Petite Bows embossing folder.  Attach the panel tot he card front, leaving about 1/4″ of white space at the bottom.

Place the card into your Misti and stamp a sentiment in black along the lower edge.

Finally, attach your unicorn-clad legs so they appear crossed, and trim the tops even with the card for a clean finish.

Instructions for the Frog Slipper Card:

The steps to assembling the slippers and PJs are the same as outlined above.

Hilarious! They just wouldn’t be the same without all your details – the fancy pants
and the background! Of course, I mustn’t forget the cute animal slippers themselves!
