Spellbinders Emboss Card with Wax Seal

Hi card-making friends.  I have another clean and simple card to share with you today, the Spellbinders Emboss Card with Wax Seal.  As I said yesterday, the 3D Embossing Folder Club for April is spectacular, so I decided to make an entire card front with it.  You could also make a 5 x 7 card front and still not cover all of the beautiful details of this folder.  Not wanting to cover up any of this beautiful design, I opted to add the Wax Seal of the Month – Petal Postage as an embellishment and left the sentiment for the inside of the card.

This rectangle shaped wax seal has so much beautiful detail, it could be on a card all it’s own.  I opted to cut off the excess around the postage stamp edge so that it mirrored the embossing on the card.

How to create the Spellbinders Embossed Card with Wax Seal.

Start with a A2 sized, top folding white card base.

Next, attach a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ panel of Waterfall cardstock.

Then, Cut another piece of white cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Spritz both sides with water before embossing with the folder.

Finally, once the card stock is dry, wrap with gold thread and attach to the card base.

Creating the Wax Seal:

Using the Spellbinders Wax Seal Kit, start by lighting the candle and placing the holder over it and warming up the spoon.

Next, drop 4 pieces of the Laguna colored wax into the spoon to melt.  Once melted, pour it out onto the silicone mat and place the seal over it, pressing firmly.

Then, let it cool.  remove the seal and then gently cut away the excess wax.

Finally, use Bearly art glue to attach it to the card front over the gold thread.
