Hey, card-making friends, welcome back. Today, I have new Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Cards to share with you. Over this past weekend, I had the privilege of working with this latest release. The dies are all well designed, easy to cut, and you can use up a lot of your scrap bin to cut the smaller pieces. La Dolce Vita is Italian for “the sweet life” or “the good life”, so I chose a warm Mediterranean palette for my cards.

Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Cards – Card #1

Start with a white A2-sized, top-folding card base. Over that, attach a card front die cut with the stitched rectangles wafer dies.

Next, use the Citrus Spritz Die set to die cut the lemons and foliage from colored cardstock. Use distress Oxide Inks to add ink-blending and highlight the edges, adding depth and color to the pieces.

Distress Oxide Inks used:

Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Rustic Wilderness.

Then, attach the art pieces to the center of the card front using foam squares.

Embellish with Peridot Color Essential Gems and a sentiment created with the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate.

Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Cards – Card #2

Start with a top-folding, white A2-sized card base. Over that, cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of teal Topaz cardstock and emboss it with the Faceted Pearls Embossing Folder from the January 2025 Embossing Folder of the month club. This design resembles a broken mosaic to me, which I felt was perfect for the style theme of this card.

Next, die-cut the sun using different shades of yellow cardstock and scraps of black, white, red, and pink for the facial features. Attach this to the center of the card.

Finally, use the La Dulce Vita Banners Die set and yellow and black cardstock to cut out the sentiment. Layer the black piece slightly off-center behind the yellow to create a shadow, and attach it with foam squares.

Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Cards – Card #3

Again, start with the white A2 top-folding card base. Additionally, add a piece of Saffron cardstock, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

Next, die-cut the sunbather and towel using the Amalfi Breeze die set. The towel was cut from Malibu cardstock, and then strips of white were glued on. The flowers and leaves are from the Citrus Spritz die set. Attach all these using foam squares to add dimension and interest.

Finally, embellish with Onyx Color Essential Gems and a sentiment using the BetterPress La Dolce Vita Sentiments.
