Spring Specs Bunny Card

Hey cardmaking friends – welcome back!

I may have fibbed a little yesterday and promised you a very cool egg card today….but plans changed.  Instead, I’m diving into my Spellbinders Monthly Clubs and could not resist sharing this adorable Spring Specs Bunny Card created with the Large Die of the Month and the Embossing Folder of the Month clubs.

And that egg card?  Turns out I REALLY hated the color combo I used, so it’s heading back to the drawing board.  I’ll be redoing it soon – stay tuned.

How to create the Spring Specs Bunny Card:

Start with a top folding A2-sized White card base.  Cut a Waterfall cardstock panel to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and emboss it with the Spring Stripes Embossing folder, then adhere it to the card base.

Next, die cut all of the bunny pieces, assemble them, and use foam squares to attach the bunny to the card front for added dimension.

Now it’s time to add the embellishments.  For the glasses, I die cut the word frame the black panel and placed a white panel behind it – much easier than trying to inlay the individual letters.

Attach the flowers with foam squares, tucking the greenery underneath for extra fullness and depth.

Finally, finish the card with a few Onyx Color Essential Gems.  I love how they tie the glasses and flower centers together and add just the right amount of sparkle.

The clubs this month are absolutely adorable.  Of course the best deal is the All Clubs Crate with a savings of 58%.  You can sign up for clubs Feb 6th through Feb 27.

I’ll be back with another club project very soon.
