I’m so excited to finally share this with you! Thanks to your incredible support, my little Felt Fergus the Gnome has become such a fan favorite that Spellbinders invited me to design even more 3D Felt Decor. Of course, I said yes! Today I’m thrilled to introduce Easter Fergus, created with the 3D Felt Decor – Spring Collection, along with the NEW 3D Felt Eggs and Flowers Decor Die Set.
Easter Fergus begins with the original Fergus the Gnome Felt Decor Die Set and is brought to life using the NEW 3D Felt Decor – Spring Collection. This spring-themed felt embellishment collection includes dies for Easter, St. Patrick’s Day, and Valentine’s Day, making it perfect for seasonal decorating, tiered Trays, shelves, and handmade home decor and gifts.
As much as I love decorating Fergus himself, I wanted to give him a few decorative accessories of his own. That’s how the 3D Felt Eggs came to be! These four-sided dimensional felt eggs are fun, beginner-friendly, and easy to stitch together. The coordinating 3D Eggs and Flowers Felt Decor Die Set also includes a variety of layered felt flowers, leaves and accents, allowing you to customize each egg with beautiful spring details.
Together, Easter Fergus and the 3D Felt Eggs create a charming mix-and-match collection of handmade felt spring decor that’s perfect for Easter displays, seasonal vignettes, and creative craft projects.

I’m going to dive into the three new Fergus designs in this post, along with a little sneak peek of the 3D Felt eggs. I’ll be sharing all the details on those in tomorrow’s post.

3D Felt Decor – Spring Collection.

How to create Easter Fergus:
Easter Fergus starts out like any other gnome….except this time he’s fully embraced pastel felt, and he’s surprisingly okay with it – especially if chocolate is part of the deal. His body is stitched in soft pink felt with matching pink stitching, giving him a sweet spring vibe. The coat is a light teal blue, also stitched in pink, and his hat is a fun two-tone moment. Teal on top, a pink bottom with a coordinating pink band and cuffs tying everything together perfectly.

I used the NEW 3D Felt Decor – Spring Die Set focusing on the three different egg sizes. Each egg is die cut from a mix of soft spring-colored felt, then embellished with seed beads that are stitched on before attaching them to Fergus’s coat and hat for added texture and charm.

The small flower and leaf dies come from the Autumn & Halloween Embellishments die set, and they are perfect for creating adorable mini pastel flowers. I tucked them in and around the eggs to add extra dimension, color and that total Easter Flair we all love.

St. Patrick’s Day Fergus:
For a little extra Luck of the Irish, I added a four-leaf clover alongside the shamrock dies for St. Patrick’s Day Fergus. I also used the tiny button die to create the gold buttons on his cuffs, and finished his look with a gold buckle on the hat band – because no proper Irish outfit would be complete without a bit of gold flair.
For the back of Fergus, I added the rainbow die set in the colors of the Irish flag – green, white and orange. Green represents Ireland’s rich landscape and heritage, white symbolizes peace and unity, and orange reflects the Protestant tradition. I kept the back design simple since his hat is already dressed up with lots of festive detail. The rainbow add just the right finishing touch without overwhelming the design.
PS, the pot of gold was found at Michael’s last year and I filled it with chocolate gold coins (because I know you are going to ask, LOL)

Valentine’s Fergus:
For Valentine’s Fergus I stuck with a classic red and white felt color combination, accented with a soft pink heart in his hand. The heart dies come in three different sizes, making them perfect for layering if you want to add a little extra dimension and love to your design.

The same design carries through to his back as well. You’ll see in tomorrow’s post that these dies can also be used on the 3D Felt Eggs, and they cut paper beautifully if you wanted to design matching greeting cards too.
and Speaking of the 3D EGGS – Here’s a little sneak peek just for you.

3D Eggs and Flower Felt Decor Die Set:
This is the second Felt Decor die release for this month, and it’s truly a basket full of fun. There are two sizes of eggs to stitch together, along with a beautiful selection of new flower dies to decorate them – including an adorable 3D daffodil. These flowers can also be used to embellish Fergus, and I’ll be sharing him in more detail tomorrow, too.

I have a pile more of beautifully decorated eggs to share with you tomorrow. I’ll also be sharing my Fourth Spring Fergus, all dressed up using these new flowers – you won’t want to miss it!

Below, you’ll also find my two newest videos: one introducing the new Felt Decor Line, and another showing how to decorate and stitch the eggs together. In these videos, I walk you step by step through both new die sets and share how I used them in my projects.
And if you create your own Fergus or felt eggs, I’d absolutely love to see them! Please share on social media using #fergustheGnome so I can admire your creations and leave a comment.
