Hi stamping friends, hope you are having a great week…..today I’m sharing my Simon Says Stamp Bee Yourself 4 cards from 1 kit Video:
Yes it’s late. The kit arrived the Friday morning of my 4 day garage sale – Phttttt, haha it was crazy busy until Sunday Morning when I snuck downstairs really early, stamped off a pile of those adorable little Bee Yourself bees and took my Copics out to the garage with me, for some blissful coloring fun.
The sale is over whoo hoo, the excess has been donated (I have room to buy new stamps YIPEE), and I have 4 cards to share with you this morning.
If you are reading this in an e-mail, you will need to CLICK HERE to visit my blog to watch today’s Video.
Here are the 4 cards I have to share with you today. There is a free PDF download for each card and a video that includes copic coloring instructions for the bees.
Simon Says Stamp – Bee Yourself Card Kit – Card #1
This post is heavy into the Honey Bee – The Bee’s Knees Designer Paper that came in the kit because it’s so FAB….so the first card uses two of them along with a couple of colored bees and I also colored and cut out the sentiment. Special thanks to Jessica Frost Ballas for the layout inspiration for this card.
NOTE – When I order the Simon Says Stamp monthly kits – I always order an extra package of the coordinating designer paper, that way I can make twice as many cards.
P.S. don’t you love how happy and adorable these little bees are, they made me smile just coloring them.
Here is a close up of my colored bees, and at the 2:50 mark on the video, I do a quick copic tutorial on how I colored them before I give you a quick view of each of these cards.
You can watch the video here, or in H.D. on my Youtube Channel here
Simon Says Stamp Bee Yourself Card Kit – Card #2
I again used the designer paper, this time centering the design in the background, and using some of the cut out pieces from the Small Hexagon Cluster wafer thin die in black and Seaglass blue as overlays.
The background heart was stamped and fussy cut then added as an overlay before attaching more bees.
There are also little hearts in the stamp set, so I colored three of those and added them.
Simon Says Stamp Bee Yourself Card Kit – Card #3
Simon threw in this package of Buzzy Bee Yellow and Black Simon Sequins so you know I had to make a shaker card.
Let me tell you about this little Hex die: It cuts on both sides. So, it cuts that hex out of my white card base. It also cuts out the inside, so I am left with the outline of the honeycomb, and all the little hex pieces from the inside to use on other projects (LOVE THIS.
I inlaid the cut out back into the card base, added a little cello back full of the sequins in behind it, along with a sponged piece of card stock before attaching the layers with Foam Tape.
I stamped that little flying swoosh, before adding my little bees.
I had been using the Tonic Shimmer Pen to color the bees wings and for this card I also used it to color in the large letters in the sentiment, just to bling it up a bit. LOVE the new Tonic Shimmer Pens, ton’s of glitter, highly recommend them.
Simon Says Stamp Bee Yourself Card Kit – Card #4
I love this little Mommy holding her tummy bee, so I had to create this card. This Seaglass blue hex paper seemed perfect for a little boy card, I added a couple more of those hex dies cut in the same color, and popped a few of the inside pieces back in.
I highlighted those pieces with my white gel pen and added a few sequins, just to pull it together.
While the actual kit is SOLD OUT – you can still buy all the pieces for this kit individually and I have them listed below for you.
