Hi friends, it’s the 20th so that means it’s hop day with my Crafty Friends and I’m sharing a couple of cards created with the Ellen Hutson Essentials Bear Ware Series. PLUS, we have an awesome shopping coupon for you for the Ellen Hutson Essentials line too YIPEE and thanks so much to Ellen.
What is “Crafty Friends”? We are a group of stamping friends who all shared a similar crafty beginning and have maintained friendships throughout the years. We decided it would be fun to do a monthly blog hop to share card ideas with you, all using products from one of our favorite companies.
This month, I’m so very happy to announced our special Brand is Ellen Hutson. This company not only sells an amazing selection of almost all stamping products on the market, they also have their own line: Essentials by Ellen which we are showcasing today.
Ellen has so graciously offered a 20% DISCOUNT CODE on the Essentials Line of products for orders placed through any of our Design Team Members using the code: CRAFTYFRIENDS20- from Oct 20 – 21st only.

Today’s cards are created with the Bear Ware Line. This series includes a big bear and a little bear and all kinds of embellishments to help you create cards for a variety of events and occasions. I also love the humor in the sentiments.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner in the USA and last weekend in Canada, I went for the “Fit to be PIED” sentiment and my little bears are holding their favorites. I used my Gansai Tambi watercolors to color all the images and the coordinating dies to cut them out.
For a pretty fall background, I used my Life Changing Brushes and did a rough blending of Tim Holtz Distress Oxides in Gathered Twigs, Mustard Seed and Mermaid Lagoon. Next I splattered a few drops of water before attaching my bears and wares.
I was having so much fun I couldn’t stop at one card, and this sentiment made me laugh “are you outta’ your gourd? haha, I had a special friend in mind for this card with a very similar sense of humor.
