New Video – Brayer Ink Blending

Hey crafty friends, I know, second post today, it’s been such a busy month but I’m having fun.  Today I have a New Video – Brayer Ink Blending to share with you.  I’m up over on the Splitcoast Stampers Site with the Technique Tutorial for this week.  So excited, thanks Dina for inviting me.

When asked to do this I knew exactly what I was going to do.  Remember yesterday I was saying I have this bin of products I have purchased but have not used yet?  Well, say hello to Simon Says Stamp Slimline Scene Builder Christmas….

Our mail was so backed up last Christmas that I didn’t get this order until after the holidays, so I’m happy to get a head start on it this year and I created  a Brayer Print Making Technique using this beautiful large stamp as a Gel Press to mass produce my backgrounds.

Supplies you will need fore the Brayer Ink Blending Technique:

• You will need a Misti and a Brayer for the technique.  It’s super easy, a bit messy (you know I love getting inky fingers), and a ton of fun.
• Three colors of ink.  I use Gina K inks for today’s cards, but almost any ink will do
• LOTS of hammermill white cardstock
• Shammy to clean your stamp well when you change colors.

These Slimline Cards are all super mass producible so spread out and get those backgrounds made today with my video.

The best part, the cards are reasonably flat, so order your slimline envelopes from Simon Says Stamp, throw a stamp on them and mail them out.  NO EXTRA POSTAGE REQUIRED.

Ok, let’s get on with the Brayer Ink Blending cards.  I have a video and a tutorial for you as well so I’m not going into a huge explanation of the cards.

 

Card #1 Purples and Blues:

This is the color combo I use in the video, mostly because they are dark and show up best for filming, LOL.

Gina K:  Wild Lilac, Powder Blue, and Blue Denim

All the cards have white embossed trees and I changed out the ornament embossed color to match each card.

The purple is Wow, Sugared Almond

Brayer Ink Blending Card #2

Now you know me and blue, this is my favorite by far, I love this color combo

Gina K Ink:  Tranquil Teal, Ocean Mist and Blue Lagoon

The ornaments are embossed with Wow Oceanic Color Blend WL21R

The white mat in the center is created with the Simon Says Stamp Slimline Marquee die.  I love that the dots border replicate the snow and the ornaments.

Slimline Scene Builder Christmas Card #3

Gina K Designs Ink:  Grass Green, Key Lime and Lucky Clover

The ornaments are embossed with WOW Montserrat WS254
