La Dolce Vita and my Final Two Cards

Hi card-making friends! I’m excited to share more of La Dolce Vita and my final Two Cards today. I’m revisiting this release to create with the Deckside Dreams die set, which is perfect for crafting a detailed ship and ocean scene. AND, I completely forgot about the stunning Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder with its beautifully deep etching. I’ve absolutely loved working with this entire La Dolce Vita release—the Caribbean vibe, warm summer colors, and precise die cuts make card-making a true delight. I hope you enjoy these last two La Dolce Vita cards and feel inspired to create your own summertime designs!

Handmade greeting card featuring layered die-cut lemons accented with pink and white flowers, green leaves, and purple flower buds. The lemons are placed on a white embossed background with a subtle floral pattern and framed with a bright green card base.

La Dolce Vita and my Final Two Cards – Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder card:

  • To create this bright and cheerful handmade card, start with a white A2-sized card base, 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.  Over that, attach a Rain Forest green card front cut at 4.25″ x 5.5″.
  • Next, cut a piece of white cardstock 4″ x 5.25″ and emboss his panel using the Spellbinders Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder.  This folder adds a beautifully detailed, deeply etched citrus pattern that instantly brings texture and dimension to your card background.
  • Then, using the Citrus Spritz die set from the La Dolce Vita release, die-cut the lemons, leaves, and blossoms from colored cardstock. Lightly ink blend the edges of the lemons with Wild Honey and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Inks to create depth and a more realistic look. Add Rustic Wilderness Ink to the green leaves a and Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet ink to the florals.  Then arrange them in a cluster on the embossed background.
  • Finally, use the BetterPress plate and La Dolce Vita Sentiments to create the sentiment panels.  Cut them apart with the coordinating dies and attach below the lemons using foam squares for extra dimension.
  • Embellish with a few Peridot Color Essential Gems for a subtle touch of sparkle and cohesion.

This La Dolce Vita lemon card is perfect for sending warm wishes and a cheerful hello. The combination of the fresh citrus theme, 3D embossing, and detailed die cuts makes this design stand out beautifully.

Handmade nautical greeting card featuring a layered die-cut cruise ship in red, blue, and black with smoke coming from the smokestack. The ship sails on layered ocean wave die cuts in shades of blue, set against a light blue sky background. The card includes an “AHOY” sentiment on the ship’s bow and is photographed with red and blue envelopes on a white embossed floral backdrop.

La Dolce Vita and my Final Two Cards – Deckside Dreams Card:

  • To create this fun handmade cruise ship card, start with a white,  A2 card base.  For extra dimension, use a slightly darker blue panel for layering the ocean waves.
  • Next, die-cut the ship pieces using the Spellbinders La Dolce Vita Deckside Dreams die set. Cut the ship’s hull from black cardstock, the smokestack from black and white cardstock, and the ship’s body from red and blue cardstock for a classic nautical color palette. Layer and adhere the pieces together to build your detailed ship.
  • Then, for the ocean, die-cut wave shapes from various shades of blue cardstock and layer them across the 4.25″ x 5.5″ light blue card front to create depth and movement. Tuck the ship into the bottom wave so it looks like it’s sailing across the sea.
  • Finally, add a die-cut sentiment—here, a small metallic “AHOY” sign on the ship’s bow completes the nautical theme.  Created from the June 2025 Stitched Die of the month, Ahoy Matey!.
  • Finish by attaching your card front to the base and pair it with a bold red or blue envelope for a vibrant, summery look.

This La Dolce Vita Deckside Dreams nautical card is perfect for summer greetings, bon voyage wishes, or any ocean-themed handmade card project!
