Hey card making friends, welcome back. I have a new video for you today, Slimline Card Altenew Build a Flower Poppy. This is lesson 5 in my Altenew Educator Program – Layering Section. I wanted something bold, and this beautiful Poppy image fits the bill.
I’m also up over on the Misti – My Sweet Petunia Blog with this post. Using the Misti for this project was essential for not only the placement of the layers on the flowers, but adding all three sentiments at once and quickly stamping the background.
Details for the: Slimline Card Altenew Build a Flower Poppy:
As you can see the poppy images make a fabulous POP on the large real estate of a slimline card and still allows me to add the three sentiments and some background noise!
Only the flower in this stamp set is layered stamping so I colored the leaves and background images with my Altnew Alcohol Artist Markers. The Artist Markers are alcohol based, have a brush tip and a fine tip and are ergonomically designed for easy gripping. I really like coloring with these markers and they are a great price point too.
To cut my Slimline Card pieces I used the Pinkfresh Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles.
The Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Dies add this beautiful stitched detail at the same time as they cut. There are two sizes of the stitched dies and two mat dies in this fabulous set.
Finally, my card base is Neenah 110# Solar White cut at 8 x 9-1/4, scored and folded at 4
