Simon Says Stamp Ear-Resistibly Cute

Hey, card-making friends.  Today, I’m sharing Simon Says Stamp Ear-Resistibly Cute.  A second card made with that stamp set, and to celebrate the FREE Online Class that Simon Says Stamp is hosting today. – which is now on replay over on their YouTube Channel.

Behind Princess Lucy is another new product from Simon: the Nifty Star Plate.  A lovely die plate the size of an A2 card front that cuts out all those fun daisies.  I added a panel ink-blended with Distress Oxide Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, and Saltwater Taffy, the colors Heidi and Carol are using in class today.  Alternatively, you could cut the panel out of a few different colors of cardstock and add them back in as inlays.

I’m loving coloring these little bunnies from the Ear-Resistibly Cute Stamp and Die Set and I love that there are little girls and little boys. So today we have Princess Lucy (the name we had for our female corgi, Miss Lucy – because she pretty much ran our house, haha).  She is with Sir Hop-a-Long on their little Easter Adventure.  And, an adorable Easter Card for the little princess in your life.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Ear-Resistibly Cute Easter Card

Start by creating a white A2 sized card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Next, cut two white panels 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and ink blend one with the Distress Oxide Inks.

Then, die cut the second panel with the Nifty Star Plate die and glue it over the above ink blended panel and then attach to the card base.

Simon Says Stamp Ear-Resistibly Cute – Adding the Frame and Art Pieces.

Start by cutting the frame twice from Cotton Candy card stock using the Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies.  Glue them together and then glue them to the card front.  This adds a nice framed border to the piece with a stitched edge.

Next, stamp the bunny and color her with Copic markers:
Bunny:  WW0, W1, W3, W5, Ears and Chin:  R00, RV10, R81, Bows:  RV11, RV13, RV14.

Then, White heat emboss the sentiment on a scrap of the Cotton Candy cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies.

Finally, use foam squares to attach the bunny and sentiment to the center of the card front.
