Hey card-making friends. The Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula Card is a totally PINK girly card, LOL. I don’t often go girly pink, but I sure have fun when I do. I also incorporated a bunch of new products from Simon Says Stamp, so join me below and I’ll point them out to you as we work through the creation of this little cutie.

Products used:
- Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula Die Set
- Simon Says Stamp – Grateful sentiment dies
- Simon Says Stamp – Petal-Tipped Labels dies (LOVE the shape of these)
- Hopping Hexagons 3D embossing Folder
- Delicate Lattice Stencil
- Mixed Mermaid Tail Sequins
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks: Cheeky, Guava, and Limelicious
- Simon Says Stamp Craft Tacky Mat
How to create the Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula Card:
Start with a top-folding A-2-sized white card base, 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Next, cut a Cotton Candy Pink cardstock panel 4 x 5-1/4 and a white panel 3-7/8 x 5-1/8. Emboss the white panel with the Hopping Hexagons Stencil before attaching it to the pink mat and then to the card base.
Then, using the Petal-Tipped Labels dies, cut two panels to frame the art piece: the larger in Cotton Candy and the smaller in white.
Place the white piece onto the Craft Tacky Mat and ink-blend Cheeky Ink through the Delicate Lattice stencil.
Creating the art piece:
Layer the two die cuts together and attach to the center of the card base with foam squares.
Next, die-cut the Poised Primula pieces from Cotton Candy and Green Apple cardstock. Ink-blend the pieces with Guava and Limelicious ink to add shadow and depth. Cut out the yellow flower centers and add them to the flowers before attaching them to the left side of the petal panel.
Then, use scraps of vellum and white cardstock to die-cut the word “grateful.” Glue them together and attach them to the bottom center of the art piece.
Embellish with Mixed Mermaid Tail sequins and three small flowers.
TONS of layers, texture, and dimension:
The Poised Primula up close has beautiful etched details drawing interest to the piece. The stenciled background noise adds color and interest without taking over. The Hopping Hexagons 3D Embossing Folder’s beautiful repeating texture is the perfect clean background to the art piece. Finally, the pink and white mats frame out the entire piece. Don’t forget the clean lines of the white over vellum sentiment, adding beauty without being distracting.
