Spellbinders May Clubs Blog Hop and Giveaway – Glimmer of the Month Card.

Well, I did something today that I have not done in some time.  I made this card with just one club kit.  Yep, just the Glimmer of the month club, and nothing else.

Start by black glimmer foiling the pencils onto Hammermill white cardstock (twice).  Next, white glimmer foil the sentiments onto a scrap of black cardstock.

Next, use Copic Markers to color in the images.

COPICS USED:

Purples:  V12, V15, V17, Greens:  YG03, YG17, YG67, Yellows:  Y11, Y15, Y19, Teals:  BG11, BG13, BG49, Pinks:  RV10, Rv21, RV13

Eraser:  R20, R22, Wood:  E42, E43, Silver Band:  N1.

Once all the pencils are colored, die cut them out with the coordinating die, and trim down the sentiments.

Next, cut a piece of white hammermill cardstock 4″ x 5 1/4″. Using foam squares cut in half and grid paper to help keep everything straight, add the sentiments first.

Next, starting from the sentiments and working your way out both ways, add rows of colored pencils, ensuring they do not stop and start in the same place, and flipping some so they are not all facing the same direction.

Next, attach the art piece to a black 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card front and then to a top-folding A-2-sized white card base, 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score and fold at 4-1/4″.

And that’s it. I’m looking at the photos and realizing that my green markers need to be refilled. LOL. They look very well worn, don’t they?

Ok, now it’s time to hop.  You probably arrived from Cheryl Penner’s Blog, and next up is Vicki Poulton.  If you get lost along the way, here is the complete list of bloggers.
