Hey cardmaking friends! Welcome Back! Today, I’m excited to share the Spellbinders Peppermint Prancer – the October Stitched Die of the Month. This adorable die-cut set was so fun, I had to create two versions! I wanted to show you how fabulous it looks both stitched and non-stitched. Whether you love the added texture of hand-stitched or prefer a quicker, cleaner die-cut look, this sweet little reindeer shines either way. Personally, as a stitcher, I’m partial to the stitched version – but if you’re planning to mass-produce your holiday cards, the non-stitched option is a great time-saver!
Also, a quick apology for the lack of posts these past few days. I’ve been setting up a new video computer, but unfortunately, the graphics card isn’t playing nicely with my Adobe editing software. It’s been a bit of a tech adventure over here! The computer is off for a few tweaks, and I’m hopeful we’ll be back to new videos very soon.
There’s always something in this creative journey, haha! Between tech hiccups and mail strikes, some of my new products are still in transit, so expect a little backlog once everything arrives (again!).
Ok, on to today’s cards and how I made them:

Products used for today’s Spellbinders Peppermint Prancer Cards:
- October – Stitched Die of the Month – Peppermint Prancer
- Season Sparkles Embossing Folder from the Merry Mischief release
- GMC Gold Thread

How to create the Spellbinders Peppermint Prancer Holiday Card:
Start with a white card base measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ score and fold at 4-1/4″. Adhere a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Pomegranate cardstock to the front to create a bold, festive border.
Next, cut a white panel 4″ x 5-1/4″ and emboss it with the Season Sparkles Embossing Folder. Adhere this panel to the card front.
Then, die cut all the reindeer and sentiment pieces. If using the stitched version, stitch the stitching pieces with the gold DMC thread and then glue the backing onto each before assembling the elements.
Pro-Tip – To give the J and Y added dimension and stability, die-cut each letter three times, stack, and glue them together.
Finally, use foam squares to adhere all the assembled elements to the card front for added depth and dimension.

The Non-Stitched Version:
All the elements remain the same, except for the stitched pieces. For this version, due-cut those sections using only the outer cutting die to remove the stitching holes.
Then, layer and adhere the pieces together, following the same assembly steps as above to complete your card.
DID YOU NOTICE?
That the sentiment for the second card is different than the first?
These set of dies is the Deluxe Caboodle Bonus Gift for October – Magic for U Die Set. There are three dies in the set, the “for, the Y U and the strip that says Believe in Magic.
