Hi stamping friends and welcome back. I finally have my studio unpacked enough to get back to work so today’s share is Simon Says Stamp Love You Beary Much. It’s the February stamp kit from Simon and it’s so sweet. It’s also not just for Valentine’s day. It has a wonderful selection of sentiments for all year round.
Love you Beary Much Card #1 – Products used for this card:
- Love You Beary Much Card Kit
- Love You Beary Much Stamp and Die Set
- Sweet Truffles Stamp Set
- Simple Stories Sweet Talk patterned Paper
- Sakura #10 White Gelly Roll Pen
- Glossy Accents
Additional supplies linked in the Supply List at the end of this post
Steps to Create this card
There are two stamp sets in this kit, the Love You Beary Much and a small one with six adorable chocolates called Sweet Truffles. Stamp Elements from both to create this card.
- Stamp the images into Hammermill card, color with Copic Markers and then cut them out.
- Use a #10 Sakura Gelly Roll White pen to add highlights
- Bear and Chocolates: E31, E35, E57
- Blues: BG11, BG13, BG49
- Reds: R35, R$46, R59
- Pinks: R81, R83, R85
- White heat emboss the hugs and kisses stamp onto a strip of Schoolhouse Red card and attach along the bottom front of the pattern paper before attaching to the mat – making it easier to trim
- Layer the Simple Stories Sweet Talk Pattern Paper to the Doll Pink Mat and then to the A2 top folding card base created from the Simon Says Stamp 110 lb Solar White Cardstock. (all included in the kit).
- Use Foam squares to attach the art pieces
- Cover the chocolates with Glossy Accents (also in the kit) to create a beautiful sheen.
I’m saving this one for Ian on Valentine’s day, as he is a chocolate lover – especially Purdy’s chocolates, (my favorite too, LOL).
Love You Beary Much – Card #2 – MINI SLIMLINE CARD – Products used for this card:
- Love You Beary Much Stamp and Die Set
- Simon Says Stamp Tumbling Hearts 6 x 6 Stencil
- Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel
- Palette Knife
- Simple Stories Sweet Talk patterned Paper
- Sakura #10 White Gelly Roll Pen
Additional supplies linked in the Supply List at the end of this post
So the new rage in the crafting world is Mini Slimline Cards. Sizes are 3-1/2 x 6 or 3 x 6. I chose the 3-1/2 x 6 for today’s card.
- Cut the white card base 6 x 7 and score down the center at 3-1/2. Burnish and set aside.
- The card front is Surf Blue cut at 3-1/2 x 5-3/4
- Tape the card front to the work surface and add the Tumbling Hearts 6 x 6 Stencil over it (yes, it’s in the kit too).
- The kit contains a small bottle of Rina K Electro Pop Neon Glitz, and while I love it, it was a bit bright for the background of this card. I dug around and found the Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel than came in a kit a few months ago and used that instead. Use a palette knife to add a smooth layer and then let it sit and dry for 30 minutes.
- Remove the stencil and clean it and the knife immediately though because when this stuff sets, it’s like cement to get it off, haha
- Stamp the images onto Hammermill card and color with copics before cutting them out.
- Add a small strip of the black and white stripes paper before permanently attaching the art pieces with foam squares
