Spellbinders Final September Club Cards

Hi cardmaking friends, and welcome back!  Today I’m excited to share my Spellbinders Final September Club Cards.  I created three different designs, combining several of the monthly club kits.  One of the things I love most about these kits is how beautifully they coordinate with each other, making it easy to mix and match for unique results.

In this collection you’ll see:

  • A clean and simple Glimmer Foiled card finished with a dramatic black wax seal.
  • An adorable die-cut acorn hut set against another Glimmer Foiled background.
  • And, finally, a masculine fall-inspired card that combines the 3D embossing Folder with the Large Die of the Month.

Handmade fall-themed thank you card created with the Spellbinders September 3D Embossing Folder and Large Die of the Month kits. The background is embossed with a woven plaid texture in kraft cardstock, layered on black cardstock. Three colorful die-cut leaves in orange, green, and yellow are arranged at the center. Spellbinders Final September Club Cards #1

I’m going to start with my favorite of the three –  The Masculine Fall Leaf Card.

Begin by embossing a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Fawn cardstock with the Patchwork 3D Embossing Folder.  Lightly ink blend over the raised surface using Gathering Twigs Distress Oxide Ink to bring out the texture.

Next, adhere this panel to a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of black cardstock, then mount the entire unit onto a white, top-folding A2 card base.

Then, die cut the leaves from the Acorn Acres Large Die of the Month Club kit using Rainforest, Saffron and Beeswax cardstock. Ink blend the leaves with  Distress Oxide Inks in Gathering Twigs, Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon and Evergreen Bough.  Arrange them in the center of the card and attach with foam squares for added dimension.

For the sentiment, hot foil a greeting from the Sketchy Hexi BetterPress Club (September) in gold onto black cardstock.  Trim it down and adherer beneath the leaves.

Finish the design with a few Onyx gem embellishments for a bold touch.

Handmade fall-themed card created with the Spellbinders September Acorn Acres Large Die of the Month and Gilded Weave Glimmer Plate. The background features a soft teal embossed woven pattern. At the center is a whimsical acorn-shaped hut in teal with a brown shingled roof, dark teal door, and windows. Surrounding the hut are colorful die-cut leaves in orange, yellow, and green, along with a pink flower and acorns. A die-cut squirrel holding an acorn sits on the left side. The sentiment “happy Thanksgiving” is placed at the top, with “happy” in teal script and “Thanksgiving” embossed on an orange banner. The card is photographed with orange and teal envelopes and decorated with acorns and fall foliage accents.

Spellbinders Final September Club Cards – Card #2

This card was such a joy to create, featuring a whimsical little acorn hut surrounded by colorful die-cut fall foliage, and layered over a softly foiled background.

Begin with the Gilded Weave Glimmer of the Month plate and Opal foil, applying the design onto a piece of Waterfall cardstock.  Mount this panel to a white, top-folding A2 card base.

Next, gather scraps of cardstock to die cut all the elements for the scene.  Add depth and dimension by ink blending each piece with Distress Oxide Inks (as shown in the previous card).  Finally, arrange the pieces on the card front, layering them with foam squares to create extra dimension and interest.

Handmade card created with the Spellbinders September Clubs: Wax Seal of the Month, Sketchy Hexi BetterPress Plate, and Perfect Touch Arches and Tags dies. The background features teal cardstock pressed with the Sketchy Hexi plate, adding gold foiled stitched and dotted patterns. Centered on the card is a gold arch die cut from the Perfect Touch Arches and Tags set. A glossy black wax seal with a gold embossed owl design is affixed in the middle of the arch. Below it, a black sentiment strip with gold foil reads “SENDING AUTUMN CHEER.” The card is matted with black cardstock and mounted on a white top-folding A2 base, styled with a coordinating teal envelope and surrounded by fall foliage accents.

Spellbinders Final September Club Cards #3

This is a super simple cards to create but boy did I use a lot of tools, haha.

It started by me deciding to foil the Sketchy Hexi BetterPress Plates instead of pressing it, because I wanted to duplicate the gold in the center of my wax seal.

Next, I attached that to a black 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ black panel and then adhered the entire unit to a top folding A2-sized white card base.

Then, I used 4 pieces of black foil to foil this months Twilight Hoot (I love owls and I love oval seals).  Once it was cooled, I used my gold deco color marker to add the gold highlights.

Finally, to really make that cold seal pop, I created a gold arch mat with the Perfect Touch Arches and Tag die set (second from smallest).  Over that I added the sentiment gold foiled on black cardstock.

Handmade fall card created with the Spellbinders September Stitching Die Club. The design features three ink-blended pumpkins stitched with gold thread in shades of orange, green, and purple. The background is softly ink blended in pink, green, and gold tones, then embossed with the Autumn Breeze September Embossing Club folder. wo handmade fall-themed cards created with the Spellbinders September Club Kits. The card on the left features a pink and orange stenciled leaf background with a stitched arch die cut in deep red, decorated with a smiling pink jack-o’-lantern, black cat, ghost, yellow leaves, and floral accents. The card on the right has a deep green embossed leafy background with a cluster of stamped and die-cut fall elements, including a sunflower, pumpkin, gourd, acorn, and sentiment strip reading “A LITTLE FALL CHARM, JUST FOR YOU.” Both cards are styled with fall foliage and berries for a seasonal look.and the rest of the Club Kit Cards are HERE:
